Sangkhalok Museum

Sangkhalok is a famous ceramic wares during in Sukhothai era. The museum has variety of the collection of Sangkhalok and ceramic wares which aged more than 700 years during Lanna Kingdom. The museum opens everyday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

 

Ramkhamhaeng National Park

The exquisite national park with a combined natural and historical background covers an area of more than 300 km2, and was considered to be national park since 2007. Ramkhamhaeng National Park is rich of natural landscape such as waterfall, variety of plants and wildlife in which these nature things are one of the best attraction for Ramkhamhaeng National Park.

 

Sri Satchanalai Historical Park

Sri Satchanalai Historical Park locates on the bank of the Yom river. The park consists of the ancient towns, ruins, and temples. Such places include Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Temple, Khao Phanon Ploeng Temple, Khao Suwan Khiri Temple, Chang Lom Temple, Chedi Chet Thaeo Temple, Suan Kaeo utthayan Yai Temple, Nang Phaya Temple, and Suan Kaeo Utthayan Noi Temple. It opens everyday from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

 

Sukhothai Historical Park

The park includes ruins of the royal palaces, Buddhist temples, the city gates, walls, moats, dams, ditches, ponds, and canals, which was the magical and spiritual center of the kingdom. Now it is preserved and have been restored by the Fine Arts Department with the cooperation of UNESCO. The park opens everyday from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm

Travel in Sukhothai:

By Bus: Air-Conditioned buses depart from Bangkok's Northern Terminal (or Mochit 2) to Sukhothai daily from 9.45 am to 10.20 pm, and takes around 7 hours.

By Rail
: There is no direct train to stop at Sukhothai but tourists can take off the train at Phitsanulok instead and take a local bus to Sukhothai after then.

By Air: There is a direct flight from Bangkok and take around 1 hour to go. The airport is about 40 km north of the city.
