Wat Phra Tat Doi Suthep:

Climb up the 290 Naga staircases (Dragon head serpant) you'll see a very beautiful golden temple on the top of the staircases. Walking Street & Night Market:

*Saturday Market (Wualai walking street): Well known for good quality of silver and lacquer wares. Available only on Saturday evening

*Sunday Market (Tha Pae walking street): start from 7.00 pm till midnight, famous for local people at the reasonable price (enjoy bargaining the price!)

*Ton Kong Market: Opens on Saturday morning, tourists spend time there to buy local goods, local delicacies, organic vegetable, flowers, and decorative plants.

Chiangmai Zoo: 

Locate near too Wat Phra Tat Doi Suthep, the zoo is famous for those 2 lovely Pandas and now they have the newly born panda. Apart from Panda, there are more than 200 types of animal in the zoo, opens daily from 8.00 AM to 7.00 PM.

Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden: 

A huge area on mountain which covers almost 600 acre, it is a fine collection of both Thai and foreign plants. Since the place is quite huge, visitors can drive to see the garden around, drop by the information center and ask for the map and information if needed. The garden is very beautiful, a good place to take lovely flowers pictures.

Travel to Chiangmai:

By Taxi - Easy and most common way to travel in Bangkok. The charge starts from 35 Baht and increase according to the time & distant. Most of the time drivers do not want to use meter system and expect to charge one certain amount. Don't forget to make them use the meter.

By Bus - The bus from Bangkok's Northern Terminal (Mo Chit 2) daily from 8.00 AM to 9.00 PM

By Air - Direct flight is available from many domestic airlines as well as Thai Airways. Besides, at Chiangmai International airport, there are flights to other cities too.
